STAR MAIDENS is a fantasy/superhero story created in Canada by Jason Bednarz. It tells the story of four blood related young women who are chosen to be the new Guardians of Nebula,[1] who protect the universe from evil creatures who wish to cause harm to it and re-create it in their own image. For this purpose, they have been given powers over the four elements.
The title STAR MAIDENS come from the four Star Wands that represent the elements.

All the Maidens have a common power, the power of flight. But, they also have additional powers that reflect their element.
Sasha Linders/Aqua-Star – She has black hair and blue eyes. Birthday is October 19 (Libra). Sasha is 21. Sasha is a bit impulsive. She is always using her powers for the good of humanity. She enjoys shopping, pop music, and pampering herself in to spa days. Drawing on her Star Wand, Sasha becomes Aqua-Star. Her powers include manipulating water to do her bidding. She has also been known to have the ability to breathe under water. She also has the ability to see visions in the water. She has a younger sister Bianca, and an older brother, Kevin, who both annoy her to no end. Her theme color is sapphire (blue) and sea-green. Her symbol is a blue wave crest.
Bianca Linders/Flame-Star – Birthday is February 6 (Aquarius) Bianca is 19. She is sometimes quiet, but Bianca is also very determined to get what she wants. Out of all her friends, she is usually the one that has to remind every one about an important task at hand. Her hobbies include basketball, photography, listening to classical music, and even math. Employing her Star Wand, Bianca becomes Flame-Star. Her powers include controlling fire at her will, producing heat waves, and generating lava. She is very close to her family, which consists of her mother, father, older brother Kevin, and Sasha. Her theme is red and orange and her symbol is a red triangle.
Holly Garrison/Geo-Star – With long brown hair and green eyes, she is the stereotypical girl of that has interest in finding love. Birthday is June 4th (Gemini). She's 19. She is the leader of STAR MAIDENS and the keeper of the Star of Nebula, which allows the girls to amplify their powers. Holly comes off strong, but deep within her is a soft and romantic girl. She is an aspiring singer. Her best friend is Marissa Hawkins, who has a love for animals, especially her cat named shadow. Utilizing her Star Wand, Holly transforms into Geo-Star. She can manipulate earth, stone and wood, make plants and flowers grow big and tall, and speak with the Earth, can heal herself and other using the warmth of the earth, and can sometimes experience prophetic visions from the earth. She understands the way plants feel. She also has enhanced strength. Holly can also sometimes be unsociable. Her leadership is sometimes questioned by Sasha and her older sister Isabella. Her theme color is green and brown and her symbol is a green circle with a dot in the center which symbolizes earth.
Isabella Garrison/Wind-Star – Birthday is November 24 (Sagittarius). She's 21. Isabella is a little bit cheery, and sometimes full of passion. Her favorite thing to do is sketch take pictures and her favorite subject is photography. Isabella loves to collect paintings and collectibles. She can always be seen drawing in her sketch pad. Operating her Star Wand, Isabella becomes Wind-Star. Her powers include the control over air, the ability to fly and invisibility. Isabella also has the powers of empathic premonition. Her theme colors are pink and purple and her symbol is a silver swirl.
Magical items[edit]
- Star of Nebula – a small gemstone kept on a chain, held by Holly Garrison. The Star was absorbed into Holly's body and emerges when it is needed. Produced by (and holding the essence of) Astra, means spirit of treasure, the Star possesses the power to turn the four elements into genuine power. It transforms the girls into Star Maidens and fortifies their elemental abilities. At first, the Star's prime task is to transform the girls. It also has other various powers: the gift of rejuvenation, creating Lunar Droplets, and creating energy spheres. The Star leaves an "ember" of itself in its guardian.
