Mogzilla91 is currently a 3rd year student at the University of Hull Scarborough Campus studying Web Design and Development.

Background[edit]

Mogzilla91 was born in London in 1991 to parents who originally hailed from Tripoli, Libya. He spent the early part of his childhood living in Thames Ditton in Surrey before moving to Esher, also in Surrey, at the age of 6/7. At the age of 10, he and his family moved to Cairo, Egypt due to his father's work commitments for one year before returning to the United Kingdom.

At the age of 14, Mogzilla91 and his family moved to Worcester Park in South West London where the family currently reside to this day. Mogzilla91 himself spends his time living between there and Scarborough due to university, however, he is due to leave North Yorkshire and return to the south by June this year if all goes to plan.

Mogzilla91 speaks both fluent English and Arabic, although with a strong Tripoli dialect that was picked up from home.

Education[edit]

Mogzilla91 attended Thames Ditton infants school between reception and year 2 (KS1). After that, he went on to Thames Ditton junior school for years 3 and 4. Year 5 was spent at the fee paying New Cairo British International school before returning to Thames Ditton for year 6.

His secondary school education was done at Hinchley Wood School in Hinchley Wood, Surrey. After getting his GCSEs, he moved onto Esher College where he achieved 3 A-Levels.

After that, he spent a semester and a half at Nottingham Trent University studying computer science before dropping out. He then started a web design and development course at the University of Hull, Scarborough campus, where he is due to graduation with a Bachelor's of Science degree in the summer of 2013.

Interests[edit]

Mogzilla91 is an avid football fan and follows his local club AFC Wimbledon, who currently play in League 2 and FC Barcelona and is a member of an official club penya (supporters club) called Penya Union Blaugrana. He attends as many AFC Wimbledon matches as he possibly can at their home ground Kingsmeadow in Kingston upon Thames. He has also attended several FC Barcelona matches, including their dramatic UEFA Champions League semi-final against Chelsea FC in 2009, where Andrés Iniesta's dramatic last minute equaliser secured the club a spot in that season's final against another English side, Manchester United, at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

He also likes to play football and tries his best to play, although these days it is mainly informal kick abouts with friends. He used to play for Oxshott Royals FC and was used as a utility player due to his versatility.

Web design and development[edit]

Mogzilla91 is a self taught web designer and development, and started making websites at the age of 14 using Microsoft Frontpage software package after an ICT class in school where he had to make a simple "Hello World" page. Within a few years, he moved from making simple websites using a WYSIWYG editor to coding complex websites and content management systems tailored for football websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and mySQL databases.

He taught himself these skills by looking at other scripts and web pages and working out how things were done rather than reading books or looking at tutorials.

After graduating from university, he harbours ambitions to learn Visual Basic ASP.net
