Lake Saveh is a historical lake which is said to have been located near Saveh, Iran. According to historical documents, this lake dried out at the night of the birth of Prophet Muhammad. A recent investigation in Zarand area between Tehran and Saveh has revealed some evidence of the existence of this lake in Zarand Plain (Okhravi & Djamali, 2003).
