Safe Creative is a free of charge copyright registration service for works with copyrights: literature, music, video, photography,etc. and with any kind of license. [1]
Legal ground and fundamentals of the copyright registration service[edit]
Copyrights are granted to the author of original contents for the mere act of creating them, and it is not mandatory to record them in a registraton service. Nevertheless faced with misuse, misappropriation of authorship of a work or plagiarism, and although the author does not have to demonstrate that the work is registered, he or she will need to provide evidence to support that he or she is the author of it. To help to achieve this the registration service creates a praesumptio iuris tantum authorship evidence that allow to establish that at a specific date and hour of the work's incription in the service he or she had the work at reach.[2]
The globality, ease and immediacy of the Internet publication increases the likelihood of producing unauthorized copies not licensed by the copyrights holder.
Today's new technology tools can represent creative works in formats not covered by many traditional intellectual property registries, such as virtual sculptures, musical compositions arranged in digital formats (MP3, Ogg,MIDI...).
As contrast with the only option for "all rights reserved" of the last century, the situation of collaboration and global distribution that the digital networks allows, makes also useful for many authors the option to license their works under "some rights reserved" licenses.
These are the main reasons new online copyright registration services, which Safe Creative has pioneered, have emerged[3], and whose distinguishing features when comparing with traditional register of works by public notary records or admimistrative deposits are:
- Technology based evidence: Instead of a government intervention as evidence guarantee (such a public notary or government employee), digital registration services offer technology based evidence: digital hash of the deposited works and time stamp.
- Worlwide effectiveness: Instead of a local service for the citizens of a specific nation, private registries offer a worldwide registration service.
- Open and semantic global information: Besides the traditional use of copyright records as authorship evidence, information is now needed in an open, accessible and interpretable way in any telematic system dealing with copyright information.

Criticism[edit]
In some forums the effectiveness of private registration is questioned related to US copyright legislation.[24]
