Taguiporo is a small barangay situated at the Northern part of the municipality of Sta. Ignacia, Tarlac. Although it is the smallest barangay in the said municipality,it is considered "Giant" on its own due to the enormous unity and unparalleled support from each and every individual (bumarangay).
Achievements[edit]
On June 6-8 2014, Taguiporo celebrated it's first barangay fiesta in honor of their patron saint San Roque. The month-long festivity presents various activities such as the Men's Basketball Tournament, Ladies' Volleyball Tournament, Men's Invitational Volleyball Tournament which boasts teams from different municipality of Tarlac including teams from the Philippines Superliga (PSL). It also includes chess tournament and the much awaited Beauty Pageant which drew attentions from people in the whole municipality.
One Barangay, One Giant leap[edit]
On August 16,2014, Taguiporo opens up the first Barangay-owned Computer Study Hall in Tarlac, the Giants E-Study Hall. It offers Computer Literacy Training during weekends. Its aim is to provide computer literacy to all its "bumarangay" that ranges from "basic knowledge" for Elementary students, to "advanced" for college and general adult population.
