Born in 1954 in High Wycombe. Left school at 14 to work on the family farm to raise money for my sick mother. Became interested in computing and starting reading books based on computer science.
Recieved a grant to attend Oxford University as a mature student. Granduated from oxford university in 1986 with a first class masters in computer science. Went onto to work with Intel on many ground breaking projects. started the 486 microprocessor project guided by Andy Grove. The project was code named "operation bicycle". The project was a big success in the early 1990's. Sales boomed from the success of the 486. Later decided to return to Oxford University to teach computer science.
I then decided to expand to something more daring and exciting. I now work at ESA training to be an astronaut. My maiden voyage will also be used to test weightlessness on squirrels.
