My purpose on Wikipedia is to increase the representation of notable women in psychology and addiction sciences, distribute empirical evidence about substance use/addiction, and help address issues of addiction related stigma. I hope that by highlighting career achievements and sharing notable contributions, we can improve the public understanding of addiction while simultaneously combating deeply entrenched biases against women in science.

I am participating in the Opioid Policy Institute Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon to help to combat bias surrounding substance use disorders, keep Wikipedia articles updated, and address race and gender biases evident across Wikipedia biographies for scientists.
