The Surf Raiders From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Surf Raiders are an instrumental surf-rock group from Azusa, California located in the San Gabriel Valley. They formed in 1980 after Robert J. Dalley wanted to play instrumental surf music again having played it in the early 1960’s. They began recording almost immediately but the Surf Raiders’ live performances were the heart of what they did. The screaming and dancing audience was full of kids who had never heard of instrumental surf music before. A surf music revival was in full swing at this time with other surf music revivalists throughout the United States, Canada, Japan, Europe and Eastern Bloc Countries. Former members include: Robert J. Dalley, Loyd Davis, Dave Rodriguez, Neil Kuzee, Linda Dalley and Tom Moncrieff. They released their first album Raiders of the Lost Surf in 1982. The Surf Raider’s music continues to be very popular on the Internet.
