Ron Tencati is a former employee of the U.S. Government's National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)where he supported the Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP) as a module validator for over 1.5 years (2002-2004). He also authored some of the FIPS 140-2 Implementation Guidance content and served as a laboratory assessor for NVLAP during his tenure at NIST.
Both prior and subsequent to his employment at NIST, Mr. Tencati was a FIPS 140-2 Cryptographic Module Testing laboratory manager for a company in the United States. His duties involved training and oversight of FIPS 140-1 and FIPS 140-2 test personnel, module report submissions, interactions with the CMVP.
