I am a retired journalist.

Born in Chicago, Illinois. I lived for 20 years in a small farming town--Beecher, Illinois--40 miles south of the city where I wrote articles for several local newspapers.

Beecher is the location of a historic mausoleum, a Wikipedia project I am currently working on.

It is also in close proximity to the proposed South Suburban Airport, which is what first brought me to Wikipedia in 2007. I need to become a better editor to correct some misstatements contained herein.
