  • If any argument aside from the Pokemon test can be given to keep this article, I'll be willing to accept keeping it. However, as this series is over and humanity as a whole is not much more than proverbial cannon fodder for the series, I do not see how keeping this article as an eternal stub is in any way beneficial. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 05:53, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
  • My compromise for this is to make a article "Races (Dragon Ball)" and have the current article be a part of it.--Sir james paul 06:03, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
    Fixed your spacing there. Like I said on my talk, I can accept that. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 06:13, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
I would try to incorporate it with List of Dragon Ball characters somehow instead of creating a new page seeing as how empty that page is. Nemu 06:15, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

I really do not care what ends up happening, all I want is for them to get over this. The more ideas we have for compromises the better.--Sir james paul 07:14, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

  • It occurs to me that the page you link is something that could easily be AfD'd for being a collection of links. Merging into that page would also be acceptable. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 07:25, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
  • Do you think we can get over this and move on in our life on wikipedia? --§Sir James Paul<<--wikiholic§ 02:54, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

This one is about whether someones mother is a persian jew. This should be a good one. Closed December 23 2006

My compromise for this is changing it to that his mother might be a jew. I think that this will please both people.--Sir james paul 13:00, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

Hi Sir james paul You asked : Can you provide evidence that Sacha Baron Cohen mother is not a jew? If not give the evidence on my desk. Also I would like to ask you not to edit the article until this is settled. Answer me on my talk page.--Sir james paul 15:57, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

No one disputes that SBC's mother is a Jew. The controvosy is about whether she has Persian origin. Klymen feels very strongly that she is of Persian origin, and cites 4 sources which support him. Mad Jack has provided evidence that suggests the Persian Origin claim originated on wiki, and then was copied by the a Gurdian journalist. See Talk:Sacha_Baron_Cohen#Request For Comment. There is no proof that the Persian origin is incorrect. But there is enough doubt to exclude it from the article IMO. Especially as it is of incidental importance. I agree not to edit this question in the article, but I may make other unrelated changes. Your compromize is fine as far as I am concerned. (I agree with your implication that this is a particularly silly dispute. Also Klymen is doing his finals right now, and is in my opinion spending too much of his valuable time on this question). Abu ali 20:27, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

my compromise is to say in the article that she may be a persion jew.--Sir james paul 21:08, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

I would rather that there be no reference to the mother's ethnicity as it is not really relevant to the subjects notability. Abu ali 21:18, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
  • also note that a RFC on this question is in progress. Abu ali 22:36, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
  • I think that we should change it to his mother might be a persion jew if we can not come up with another compromise by the 24.--Sir james paul 00:09, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
    • I don’t believe what is verifiable should be taken out because some users have their own personal speculations about its content. What Mad Jack has provided in the talk pages are all based on a logical fallacy called the post hoc fallacy. His argument is that the wikipedia article predates the Guardian article and thus is the only reason why the Guardian article says she’s Persian.

His mother is a Persian Jew, that is verifiable and there is no evidence to contradict it. Thus should stay in the article.

If everyone was to take out information they deemed wrong based on their own speculations and without any evidence to support it then this wouldn’t be much of an encyclopedia. Klymen 11:51, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Why is his mother's ethnicity so important to the article? Abu ali 12:19, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
  • In other articles it talks about there parents ethnicity. It is not uncommon to have that in it. We will have to find a compromise in this, or one of you will have to give in wich is probably not going to happen. God bless you all.--Sir james paul 12:45, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
      • Why would the fact that her grandmother taught at a school of dance be more important than her mother’s ethnicity. No one is in a position to tell what is important and what is not. Persian Jew is a verifiable fact and I believe it should stay until evidence to the contrary are brought forward. I’ve been editing and watching people edit on wikipedia for a long time. Usually if there is something verifiable on an article that is not true, evidence to proof its falsehood are found pretty quickly. I think the Persian Jew should stay, If its false then an evidence will show up to prove that it is false and then can be taken off. Until then please refrain from taking verifiable information out. Klymen 14:03, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
        • I agree with you that what his grandmother taught is of no relevence for this article.Abu ali 14:07, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
          • I didn’t say it’s not important or not relevant. I said there is no one way to decide what is and what is not.Klymen 16:08, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
            • We will just have to agree to disagree then....Abu ali 16:27, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
          • It is not nonsense! It is a verified fact, which is more than what can be said about your argument. Also the Persian Jew has been in the article for a few months and no evidence to disprove it has surfaced (beside madjacks and your nonsense). Klymen 16:15, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
            • Hey take it easy! Why don't we just leave this until you have finnished your finals? Abu ali 16:27, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
              • Good Idea. Klymen 18:44, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
