       Saturnino Halili Tiamson. Jr has been modestly garnering recognitions both in the national and international musical scene from the onset of the New Millennium. He painstakingly earned his Diploma in Creative and Performing Musical Arts with a Major in Percussion from the renowned University of the Philippines College of Music from 1998 to 2005. As a percussionist/timpanist/drummer, he has done multiple performances in the Philippines and abroad even while he was still an undergraduate student. His notable performances were with the University of the Philippines Symphonic Band, UP ROTC Band, UP Percussion Ensemble, UP Orchestra, UP Chamber, Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, Manila Philharmonic Orchestra, Crosswave Symphony Orchestra, Metro Manila Community Orchestra, San Miguel Philharmonic Orchestra, Peace Philharmonic Philippines, Tanghalang Pilipino Chamber, Asian Youth Orchestra 2001/2004 and 15th Anniversary/ Alumni Concert 2010 and 20th Anniversary and Southeast Asian Youth Orchestra & Wind Ensemble 2003. He always perform as drummer in The Feast Hong Kong, Tung Chung Catholic Church Hong Kong.He has also performed as drummer in some Broadway Musicals in HKDL like AIDA, Give my Regards to Broadway, Summer Lovin, Corinthians Love Concert, I Love Hong Kong The Musical and many more.Church concerts in Hong Kong like Bring Faith Alive 2008 in The Queen Elizabeth Stadium, Misa de Aguinaldo on December 2010 and 2011 in Chater Garden, El Shaddai 23rd Anniversary in Hong Kong. His excellence in his chosen career has brought him to the limelight and got him featured on various local and global broadsheets and magazines such as the Ang Nuno Newspaper (1997), Philippine Star (2001 and 2004), Manila Bulletin (2001 and 2004), Smile Magazine Cebu Pacific Inflight (August 2008), Time Out Magazine’s Top 20 Musicians in Hong Kong (October 2008), Sun Newspaper Hong Kong (December 2010) and Rizal News Online (2011). His success in the musical arena, particularly for being one of the Opening Team Filipino performers in Hong Kong Disneyland made him a celebrated feature in the local television program entitled OFW Diaries " Filipino Performers in Hong Kong Disneyland in October 2009 with Ms. Kara David, a GMA 7 correspondent.
       His incessant efforts to achieve his goals in life were recognized and supported by his Alma Matter by giving him the University of the Philippines Student Achievers’ Award in 2001 and 2003 until 2005. With his persistence in the selected career, he was able to pass auditions and examinations with various musical organizations including the Young Siew Toh Conservatory Singapore in 2003, Rome Festival Orchestra in 2011 and Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) Grade 8 Percussion Examination with Distinction 2011. He continued his journey to success by attending workshops and master classes with prominent music mentors from the all over the world. From 1998 until 2005, he shared and enhanced his skills with Leo Roque, Principal Percussionist of Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra and Elizalde Tolentino, former Principal Percussionist of San Miguel Philharmonic Orchestra – both associated with the University of the Philippines College of Music. In 1999, he prospered with Jun Regalado, a drummer and educator. In 2001, he continued on improving his skills with Dr. Rick Diamond, a Principal Timpanist of Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and Percussion Teacher in Asian Youth Orchestra 2001. As he enjoyed his accomplishments through the years, he never ceased to learn and improve his skills as he kept up with his efforts and proceeded on doing workshops and attending classes with Meng Keh Lim, Assistant Principal Percussionist of Singapore Symphony Orchestra; Ty Constant, Teacher at the Young Siew Toh Conservatory Singapore; and Kae Hashimoto, Professor of Percussion in Mahidol University Thailand and Percussion Teacher in Southeast Asian Youth Orchestra and Wind Ensemble (SAYOWE 2003), Thailand – all in the year 2003. He also went under the music classes of Bo Razon, a Latin Percussionist from the University of the Philippines College of Music in 2003 until 2005. In 2004, he protracted his musical career with Christopher Williams, Assistant Principal Timpanist and Principal Percussionist of Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and Percussion Teacher in Asian Youth Orchestra 2004. He has actually fulfilled his ambitions when he received his college diploma in 2005 but he really never ended his passion to learn and improve his professional skills at that point. Instead, he continued to develop his skills with Chris Brien, International Drumset Artist, Percussionist, Author, Composer from Australia and Drum/Percussion Courses Tutor of Tom Lee Academy of Music in 2008 until 2010. He made a short workshop with Mar Dizon, Jazz Drummer and Percussionist in 2009 and from 2010 up to present, he is collaborating with Choy Lap Tak, a renowned Percussionist in Hong Kong. He attended the World Band Championship International Band Camp in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia 2011 and studided Battery Percussion with Blue Devils.He is studying Snare Drum with Jeff Queen.
       His achievements and recognitions from the local and international organizations, associations and award-giving institutions have opened the door for him on prestigious scholarships such as the scholarship offer from the Young Siew Toh Singapore. Saturnino Halili Tiamson, Jr. is the first and only Filipino who passed the audition for percussionists in the first Southeast Asian Youth Orchestra and Wind Ensemble in 2003 rivaling all other percussionists from big Asian countries like Japan, Korea, China and including Hong Kong. Moreover, he has maintained active memberships with various organizations such as the Asian Youth Orchestra Alumni Association, University of the Philippines College of Music Alumni Association, University of the Philippines Alumni Association Hong Kong, Hong Kong Band Directors Association, Percussive Arts Society, World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles and PHILBANDA. He is currently the Vice President 2011 of the University of the Philippines Alumni Association in Hong Kong. In addition, he is also a representative of Hong Kong Disneyland’s Back-Up Cast Advisory Council Atmosphere Team 2009-2011, Disney VoluntEARS Leadership Council 2008 and an active Disney Volunteer.

Saturnino Halili Tiamson, Jr. is a member of the Hong Kong Disneyland Band since 2005 and became its Band Leader in 2007 up to present. His connections with numerous organizations in the Philippines and in other countries has made him a popular performer and brought him multiple invitations to perform and awards for excellence. Considering all his achievements, accomplishments and current status. His passion for music has smoothly connived with his goal to succeed in his career that put him where he is right now.

       To review his previous activities and educational background, Saturnino Halili Tiamson, Jr. spent his elementary school days in Angono Elementary School Central from 1987 to 1994 and completed his secondary schooling in Angono National High School from 1994 to 1998. He had been sent as the Philippine Representative to the Indonesian Children’s Jamboree “GELANTARA” in 1997. He has also performed as percussionist of Angono National High School Band, which won as the National Band Champion in the event entitled “PALIGSAHAN SA SINING 1997”. Further, he has attended Summer Youth Camp with the Angono Parish Youth Ministry in 2001. He also became a member of the Angono Jaycees, Inc. from 2001 to 2004 and has served as the organization’s External Vice President during these years and as its Executive Vice President from 2002 to 2003. Awardee of "Dangal ng Bayan Awards 2011" awarded by Municipal Council of Angono, received a Plaque of Recognition by Angono National High School, Trophy by Be Our Guest Campaign 2011, Disney Excellence Award, Disney Excellence Award and many more.

Looking back on his past years with the music scene in Angono, it is known that he is a member of Angono Wind Ensemble since 1993 and became its President in 2000, 2001 and 2005. Up until now, he is in contact with Angono Wind Ensemble and conspiring for the improvement of the band. He has never stopped imagining big for the future of the musicians in Angono / Philippines that he made it a point to provide free workshops in percussion during his regular visits in the Philippines.

       Saturnino Halili Tiamson, Jr. is the son of former Angono Municipal Mayor Saturnino V. Tiamson, Sr. and Mrs. Veronica Halili Tiamson. He was born on November 17, 1981 in Angono, Rizal. His siblings are Dra Celia Tiamson Sualog, Councilor Januver Halili Tiamson is currently elected as one of the members of the Angono Municipal Council, Marissa Tiamson, Saver Tiamson, Noeh Tiamson and Gabriel Tiamson who also performs in HK Disneyland as Musician. Married to Marie Vega Tiamson a performer from Lion King in Hong Kong Disneyland, Certified Kindermusik Teacher and Graduated In University of Sto.Tomas University for HRM. Father of Yzabella Vega Tiamson and Saturn Gabriel Tiamson.
