Email for towns needing Town Seals[edit]
Dear Town Administrator,
I'm writing to you as an editor of the online encyclopedia called "Wikipedia" about the entry regarding your town: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%2C_New_Hampshire .
Actually, that statement is a bit overblown. *Anyone* can be an editor of Wikipedia - it's "an encyclopedia written collaboratively by many of its readers."
In any case, I live in Center Harbor, NH. I've been reading and updating the entries on all 233 cities and towns in New Hampshire (and sometimes the 24 unincorporated places as well). In doing so, I found
- that the "town seal" that's shown in the entry for your town is either corrupt or not of a very good quality.
- I (or one of the other editors) found the image that's there on your website. Unfortunately, since it was created specifically for your website, it's not the best quality for use on Wikipedia.
- that the entry for your town is missing an image of your town seal.
If possible, would you either:
- join Wikipedia and upload an image of your town seal, OR (if you aren't able to do that),
- send me an email with an attached image of the town seal - any format is fine, but the best quality you have available will make the best image on the site, OR
- send me a letter with a doccument that has your town seal on it - I have the hardware to scan it in and upload it to Wikipedia.
Feel free to look over the entry (or any other entry) and add/update/change any information that needs updating. The key phrase at Wikipedia is "Be Bold!"
