SgtSparkle is an involuntarily retired (read: downsized) lifestyle editor for the local newspaper in a midsize Northern California city. She hopes to continue being involved in the publishing field, although what that might entail--besides editing Wikipedia articles--remains a mystery. Her previous careers included banking, healthcare, tech support, technical writing, and systems analysis and management. In 2014 she was finally able to marry her partner of 22 years, thanks to the Supreme Court of the United States. It was the happiest day of her life.
