Hi, I am Shirsak Budhathoki, a Wikipedian originally from Nepal and currently residing in the United States. My primary field of study is Mathematics and History. I have until recently been inactive from Wikipedia for a long time following a bout of depression and alcoholism, and now am hoping to return back to Wikipedia as a means not only to distract myself but also to help make Wikipedia a better place alongside the hundreds of thousands of volunteers who have contributed and imparted a wealth of knowledge and helped hundreds of millions more. My primary focus will be to translate articles about Nepal from Nepali Wikipedia and other book sources or news articles I find online, but I shall also focus on writing more and more about mathematics, computers, mobile phones and generally work to prevent vandalism and make corrections to grammatical errors.

Current Projects

Currently, I am primary focusing on translating these pages from Nepali Wikipedia which contain a lot more content as well as citations: -

I am also studying Diamond Shumsher Rana's novel Basanti, so once I am done with these articles and the novel, I am planning to create an article for the novel as well along with a short plot synopsis.

When I first signed up to Wikipedia, there was very little to no information about these topics on the internet and even most of the textbooks in Nepal were misleading. The reason I created these specifically was so that more people both within Nepal as well as elsewhere could be more informed about Nepal. Thanks to everyone who picked up where I slouched and left off and added a ton more content to these, as well as all the articles in Wikiproject Nepal and Wikipedia in general.
