Vassilis Rouvalis

Vassilis Rouvalis (alias Silio D'Aprile) is a Greek poet, journalist and translator, born in 1969, in Athens to parents who both come from the Peloponnese. While still a student of Philology at the University of Crete, he got acquainted with the works of the Cretan Renaissance, which marked him deeply with their creative potentials. Initially, he was the editor of "B-Side" (alternative music magazine, 1990-1992) and then joined as a journalist the most famous Athens newspaper "ELEFTHEROTYPIA", while in 2006 he launched the e-zine "poema" (http://www.e-poema.eu ) which focus on poetry, essays and art that is been created in the larger frame of modern Greek and European arts. V.R. was associate article writer of the monthly literary review "Diavazo", as well as of the ANTI magazine and of the "Pop & Rock" musical review, cooperating at the same time with various radio and TV programmes dedicated to literature and arts. He also writes literary criticism for Sunday "Avgi" (http://www.avgi.gr) and "Hiridanos" (http://www.hiridanos.gr), while his poetry, short stories, articles, translations and literary criticism circulates in different kinds of literary reviews such as "Porfyras", "Endeuktirio", "Na ena milo", "Poetry", "Dekata" etc.
