Statwizard is a Ph.D. student studying statistics at Virginia Tech. He has particular interest in experimental design and has written content for a couple of articles in that category. His dissertation concerns detecting increases in the frequencies of events.

Some of Statwizard's other interests are in photography, transportation, Mormonism, and computing.
