Many weapons have been used in the owl kingdom during numerous times and different periods. Below is a list of all of the weapons used by owls.
Battle Claws[edit]
Battle Claws are made of iron and designed to look like and fit over an owls talons. Battle Claws were created by the first blacksmith Theo. Although Theo did not want to unleash a new and powerful weapon into the owl world he made them to protect Hoole from Hagfiends. Battle Claws are designed to rip and tear and when enganging in talon to talon combat.
These Claws have a piece of fur that raps arround an owls ankles to secure their talons in place. Then it has the fur ataches by sinew to the talon pieces that are made of iron.
Dragons are a set of toys manufactured by the company Mega Bloks. They come in categories of Fire and Ice, Krystal Wars, Metal Ages, Plasma Dragons, and Spell Casters. They are centered around two armies the Aurios and Argentix.
Aurios[edit]
The Aurios wear gold armour and are sneaky and savage. Their ruler is the Blue and Gold Wizard Goldewing. Goldewing is able to communicate telepathicalyy with Dragons, is eager to control all Plasma Krystals, and seems to know everything about everyone. He also has a sneaky pet griffon named Gildenklaw who has a job of sneaking into the Sorcerer's Turret to steal the Amrizon Plasma Krystal making Silvengleam will lose his magical powers. Along with gold the Aurios also use the color blue as one of their battle colors and their symbol is a gold shield with a griffon on it.
Argentix[edit]
Gylfie is a fictional Elf owl character from Guardians of Ga'Hoole. She is Soren's best friend and is also the ryb of the Navigation Chaw.
Features[edit]
Gylfie is a friendly and loving owl who has a large amount of courage despite her small size. She is one of the four members of the Band and was the second to join. She is also able to navigate through the toughest weather and became the leader of the Navigation chaw after the death of Strix Struma during the siege of the Great Ga'hoole tree. In this Chaw her best pupil is Fritha.
Gylfie is also a member of the revered Chaw of Chaws, a group that also included the members of the Band along with Ruby, Martin, Otulissa, and Eglantine. Gylfie, despite being a slightly noisy flier, has proven herself extremely useful with her expert sense of navigation using the constellations. Gylfie has been on many missions with the Band and the Chaw of Chaws.
Gylfie was also one of the first owls to use the element of fire as an offense. This happened during the rescue of Ezylryb when the Chaw of Chaws had no battle claws to fight with and had to use fire as an offensive system. She also now is able to fight with an ice splinter after she trained on the island of Dark Fowl with the ice regiment.
Plot[edit]
Gylfie met Soren, a Barn Owl, when they were captured as owlets by members of St. Aegolius Academy for Orphaned Owls. Together, the two friends resisted St. Aggie's attempts of moon blinking them - which is a form of mind control. When they were sent to the Moon Blazing chamber, they stopped the moon from brainwashing them by telling the legends of Ga'Hoole. Later, a Boreal Owl named Grimble secretly taught them how to fly in the library, where he stood guard. They managed to escape the horrible place in the canyonlands, but Grimble was killed by Skench, the Ablah General when she burst into the library.
The pair decided they wanted to visit their families. On the way, they met a huge Great Grey owl named Twilight. He was orphaned shortly after birth, and he says he had to teach himself everything he knows. He chose to join them on their journey. In Gylfie's home, the Desert of Kuneer, the owls meet Digger, a unique Burrowing Owl who is also an orphan. His brother and parents were killed by St. Aggie's patrols. Once he joins up with them, Jatt and Jutt, two members of St. Aggie's appear and a battle ensues. The new band manages to defeat them both.
Once Twilight and Digger joined the group, they decided to refer to themselves as "the Band". While flying with the Band, Soren and Gylfie flew home and discovered their families missing. They decided to pursue newfound dreams of flying to the legendary Great Ga'Hoole Tree. After the long journey to the Great Tree, Gylfie's sense of navigation expanded and she became a star student in Strix Struma's Navigation chaw.
Ruby is a short-eared owl of the Guardians of Ga'Hoole Series. She is the best flyer at the Great tree and can battle amazingly with a flaming branch. She is also a member of the Chaw of Chaws.
Ruby's first appearance was in Book 2, The Journey. Her parents disappeared, under mysterious circumstances that are never mentioned. They were supposedly out hunting. Apparently something scared Ruby so much that she actually flew before she had fledged her primaries. Nobody knows what actually frightened her, and she never has told since.
Ruby along with Martin fly in to join a battle at the end of Book 3,The Rescue, during which her and Martin bring burning branches to the Guardians enabling them to fight the Pure Ones.
In book 4,The Siege, when the Chaw of Chaws infiltrate St. Aggies, it is Ruby who discovers flecks in a St. Aggie's nest when she works as a broody.
In book 5,The Shattering, Ruby is part of the small army of Guardians that help rescue Eglantine and Primrose.
In book 6,The Burning, She trains with ice daggers and scimitars making ruby deadly in battle when coupled with her great flying techniques. She fights with ice weapons in the battle of the Burning.
In books 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 Ruby does not appear as the first two are based on Coryn/Nyroc and the last three based on the legends.
