Sean Nisbet-Jones, (Born May 9th 1983 in Vancouver, British Columbia) is a Canadian singer, guitarist and songwriter. He is known as the front man for the post-punk, new wave band Friends of 7. He has also played in other Canadian acts such as, Seven-Lies, the Quickness, and Ghettoblaster.

Early years and personal life[edit]

Jones was born in Vancouver, is an only child born to Genevieve and Arthur Nisbet-Jones. At a young age he was always known as an entertainer. Growing up Jones was always surrounded by music, as his father was a musician. His first taste of the guitar was in elementary school and from there on in taught himself to play using his fathers left handed guitars upside down.

He attended St.Thomas More highschool where he started a band with his close friends Paolo and Anthony Scardillo. Jones excelled in acting and was going to attend Vancouver Film School, however, his love of music led him to attend C.D.I.S where he took recording engineering, music marketing and theory.

Influences[edit]

Growing up Sean had a love for So-Cal punk rock and a lot of his playing channelled Tom Delonge from Blink 182 and DickDale. As his musical pallet expanded he found love for the 80's, bands like a Flock of Seagulls, the Cure, the Smiths, early U2, Duran Duran, Depeche Mode.
