G'day all. I'm an Australian writer who is at the moment NOT working. I am on a Disability Support Pension. My education has been in Arts with majors in Drama and Philosophy over twenty years ago. In 2004-5 I did a Diploma of Accounting to help with my employability. It worked, and I moved up from being an Accounts Clerk to an Office Manager before I got sick (chronic psoriatic arthritis).

In 2008 I got testicular cancer and underwent an orchidectomy and radiation therapy. Then in early 2009, most probably due to high doses of ibuprofen I had the misfortune of having a ruptured oesophagus and spending three months in Royal North Shore hospital - the first month in intensive care. (The first nine days in an induced coma). I haven't worked since.

In late November 2011 I discovered a mass in my remaining testicle which has been shown to be probablyanother seminoma by ultrasound (the pathology on the removed testicle revealed two classic seminomas). This makes me one of the less than 2% of testicular cancer sufferers who develop the problem in both testicles. I got my second (and final!) orchidectomy on 17 January 2012, interestingly on my 47th birthday. This was quite a coincidence, as my first orchidectomy was done on 15 July 2008 which was my Father's birthday. I guess the NSW Public Health system is psychic when arranging operation dates!

I have a lot of projects on the go (who doesn't), but when I get a chance I like to keep things on wikipedia up to date.
