Thornbury Furlan Football Club, commonly known as Thornbury United F.C, is an Australian amateur soccer club based in Melbourne, Victoria, that plays in the VicSoccer Division 1 League. Founded in 1983, Thornbury United F.C boasts a proud history.

Early years[edit]
The Club Fogolar Furlan was established in 1957 by a small group of migrants from the Friuli Region, located in the north east of Italy. The Club has provided members and visitors with well-appointed premises and sporting facilities. The soccer club was established by those migrants who played in the former Industrial league.The club sought to improve on its standing & joined the VSF ( Victorian Soccer Federation ) now known as the FFV ( Football Federation Victoria ). Between 1983 and this current time, Thornbury United FC has allowed players to experience & boast a proud history winning 5 Reserve Team Championships and taking out the Copa Italia.
