Who is Tim Welch?[edit]
My name is Tim Welch and I was born in Buffalo, New York on July 15, 1967. I moved to Canada and attended school here until University, and started work at Bell Canada in the late 80's. I am presently the Regional Sales Director for Grand & Toy, a subsidiary of OfficeMax. You can see more information about me on my LinkedIN profile[1].
I believe I have a great deal to offer Wikipedia, and my first foray has been to post articles about my 5-times great Uncle, Thomas V. Welch, who was a New York State Assemblyman and the first Superintendent of the Reservation at Niagara Falls. I have been slowly researching more information about him and recently came across several articles that were worthwhile, as well as have visited Niagara Falls and Lewiston many times in 2010 to take pictures and perform research on this relative of mine.
I am a graduate of Fisher Park High School in Ottawa, Ontario and I lead the planning of a 2007 reunion for all years that the school was open (1949-1987). As a result, I did a great deal of research on primary sources (microfiche newspaper articles) in the Ottawa Public Library and I contributed that information to the listing of the school on Wikipedia.
