I'm a frequent user (and occasional editor) of Wikipedia, largely because I put together a Quotes of the Day mailing every night and I'm researching authors or historical events to help write the introductions.

I have inserted links to Quotes of the Day on a number of pages, all of which have been challenged on various grounds. Specifically, I am creating more detailed pages for the most important authors in the QOTD database and feel these are complementary to the Wikiquote content and valuable to Wikipedia readers. (While the links have been present there has been a good response.) I have carefully read the Conflict Of Interest page and respectfully maintain that my interest in inserting these links involves no conflict with the goals of Wikipedia. My interest is parallel to, if not identical to, that of Wikipedia, not a conflict.
