Sandor M Veres is Professor of Autonomous Control Systems at the University of Southampton, UK and Director of SysBrain Ltd, London, UK, [1]. He has published about 140 refereed publications in the area of dynamical modelling, robust and adaptive control and learning and adaptive systems and authored 4 books. He is subject Editor of the International Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, the Journal of Systems and Control Engineering. He has been chairman of the IFAC Technical Committee on Adaptive and Learning Systems for the period 2005-2008. His current research interests include control and software engineering of autonomous spacecrafts, underwater vehicles, aeronautical vehicles, ground vehicles and robots, including their hybrid systems verification, reliability and their high level declarative programming.
