Well after ages I felt I should, at least, not have a blank user page.

I'm a middle aged guy with a science, IT, and engineering background. I like to camp, hike, & ski; enjoy reading and A/V stuff; make and partake in good food; and drink decent beer and single malt scotch. I also try to bike, swim, and weight train; particularly lately to get rid of these extra 15-20kg that have crept up on me the last several years. I'm 188cm and heavily built so it's not as bad as it sounds. I live in Edmonton in a modest neighborhood with the standard issue wife and two kids. OK, they are not 'standard' but wonderful in case this gets back to them. ;-)

Enough of a capsule bio. I'll try to update this several times a decade. Ciao world!
