WML Student User Page[edit]

Introduction and Goals[edit]

History major and student worker at the Weinberg Memorial Library at the University of Scranton. I plan to add content to pages related to the school, using our extensive archives and collections, in order to supplement existing pages about the University. Eventually, I also want to create entirely new pages of information about the school and important figures associated with the school. The goal is to share the wide breadth of knowledge about the rich history of Scranton that the University possesses with the public through Wikipedia. It is a project to educate, communicate, and connect with the public using the University's vast array of resources.

Completed and Planned Articles[edit]

I have completed my work on expanding the William J. Byron Wikipedia page, as I have added extensive information on his early life, education, career achievements and positions, particularly detailing his accomplishments as President of the University of Scranton.

Currently, I am working on gather more information about other University presidents, particularly Father J.A. Panuska, who does not currently have a Wikipedia article, although I have started drafting an article containing his biography and achievements. Additionally, I want to either create or add to the pages that exist about the University's other presidents and supplement the minimal information about them on the University of Scranton's Wikipedia page, which is currently just a list of the presidents from 1938, when the University achieved university status.

Later, I would like to add a comprehensive summary of the history to the University of Scranton Wikipedia page, supplemented by materials and pictures from the Digital Collections and the Archives at the University of Scranton.
