The problem with these articles is obvious:

• They look like a copyvio from somewhere
• They look like a bablefish translation of some other article
• They are not sourced
• They are hard to understand.
• The information is worthless
• The titles are terrible
• No one is going to work on these articles

What these articles would greatly benefit from is cleanup. It looks impossible, it is not. The best list of the documents is Charles Matthews page. Please do not put them up for VfD. People are working on them, and this contributor is very prolific. Now, let's address the points above.

• They look like a copyvio from somewhere

They are not. They are an English->Spanish->English translation of portions of various books that are no longer in print. They are probably fair use without the translatios, with them, they are clearly no longer copyvio.

• They look like a bablefish translation of some other article

As addressed above, they aren't. They are translations of a well meaning author with limited English skills. However, the information provides a valuable historical perspective.

• They are not sourced

This is true. He has provided some sources, and I'll include them below. I would love for someone to get some of these books and take a look at the originals.

• They are hard to understand

Again, this is true, but not a problem. That is what the cleanup tag is for.

• The information is worthless

This information is not supposed to be a detailed analysis of current life and thinking. What it does a very good job of is providing an historical perspective, and that is how they should be viewed.

• The titles are terrible

Again, yes, but this is easy to change. Ideally the articles should be moved into a better name probably, cleaned up, and then if the content needs to be merged that should be done.

• No one is going to work on these articles

Working on these articles is slow going, but is going. Here are selected edits that I have made, others have also worked on them.
