I'm a former news reporter and editor of a small daily newspaper in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. My screen "handle" was the name of my new wave band in the 1980s.

I signed on to Wikipedia mainly to do some editing on its Badfinger article. I assisted in the development of a biography on Badfinger and am familiar with the research involved in that, and it appeared much of the information in wiki's article was gleaned from that source. However, the article suffered from too much subjectivity and redundancy (which is fine for a book, but not for an objective encyclopedia article). Kingboyk and I did some cleanup work on the article in January 2006. It's not perfect, but it's better.

I've also performed editing on other articles in which I have some particular knowledge of the subjects.
