March 2014[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Global cooling. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block.

Please self-revert your last edit as per WP:BRD. Be aware that you have engaged in edit warring and could be blocked for it, please give WP:3RR a read. Regards. Gaba (talk) 18:32, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion[edit]

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. The thread is Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:108.169.164.146 reported by User:Gaba p (Result: ). Thank you. Gaba (talk) 19:54, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The problem stems from the fact that the word 'small' is imprecise. I had edited the page to reflect the actual percentage as described in the reference. The reference [2] contains both text and graph to show the number of papers written and their predictions. 12 percent of the papers predicted global cooling, 73 percent predicted global warming, and 15 percent could not make any conclusions as there was not enough data to support a climate change trend. The word small is relative, and is derived from reference [2]. So let's use the data of reference [2] and replace 'small' with 12 percent. The reader can then decide for themselves if 12 percent is small. If you lost 12 percent of your height, on average you would loose 7". I don't think that is small.

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring and violating the three-revert rule, as you did at Global cooling. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Bbb23 (talk) 21:12, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

January 2020[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm CorbieVreccan. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Squaw seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Direct quotations must be left intact. If a quotation is generally considered offensive, or might be considered offensive, the [sic] template can be added after the intact quote. But we cannot alter direct quotations. - CorbieVreccan 02:55, 13 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Squaw. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. - CorbieVreccan 19:52, 13 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Squaw, you may be blocked from editing. This has been stable in the article for years now. If you want to dispute it, take it to the talk page of the article. - CorbieVreccan 22:38, 13 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Edits count per user, not per account[edit]

Hello, 108.169.164.146, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia. Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections, or better, just use your named account. Thank you. Edits count per user, not per account. Just so you know, Editing logged out can be considering sockpuppetting if done to avoid accountability with one's named account. - CorbieVreccan 21:42, 9 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
