User talk:

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. --John 06:29, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

August 2007[edit]

Information.svg Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to User talk: Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Ireas 07:24, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

FNP dates[edit]

Please refrain from changing the dates on the Friday Night Project Page. This is a British show so it is acceptable to use the British way to write the date as seen on other British pages on Wikipedia. Also, the page need to be balanced and if you change the dates the page is not conformative. I have been in touch with an administrator as well. So please refrain from chsnging the dates on the page.

Thank you. 18:49, 6 September 2007 (UTC) samusek2

December 2013[edit]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to CorelDRAW. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Andy Dingley (talk) 02:24, 23 December 2013 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
