Muscovy duck[edit]

Hi Arie m den toom, I have reverted your addition (re sexing in ducklings) at Muscovy duck. We can only include such material if there is a published source to point to - book, article, website; all are fine - but it must be written text. Can you provide something like that to reference the sexing information to? --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 20:25, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

look here: https://www.raising-ducks.com/determining-muscovy-gender/ Arie M. den Toom (talk) 20:56, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That should do. However, what I take away from that site is that there is a number of methods, many of which are somewhat unreliable. So I'd suggest making that as a statement, giving this reference, and letting the reader sort themselves out among the suggested methods themselves - rather than saying "use bill shape" in Wikipedia's voice; that's not really justified. --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 22:07, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Elmidea Should I place a link or not?

After two weeks when the ducklings are 4 or 5 weeks I will upload another picture of the feathers, both methods are real facts. The unreliability is not the fact but the spectator, do they notice it, that is the difficulty. In summer I'm to busy with the birds, we have more tjhen 200 of them, but now is not so busy and there were 4 late ducklings so a good opportunity do make some images of the development.
