Chad Spann[edit]

Please stop trying to create a promotional article at Chad Spann. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for self-promotion and flowery language (e.g. "A lot of hard work and a little bit of luck helped Spann rise up the depth charts very quickly") is not permitted under our neutral point of view policy. As none of your claims are cited, they constitute original research. Wikipedia strongly discourages editors from creating or editing articles about themselves. I'm trying to get the hang of this....i have sources for all of the information i've posted. i have no idea how to ref them. i will change the language to not sound so "flowery", but all the information is accurate.

Please see {{cite web}} and WP:REF, which describe how to use the citation templates. The short version is that you want to do something like this:


This is a fact, which I am attributing to the ESPN story.<ref>{{cite web|

This will get automatically transformed into:

This is a fact, which I am attributing to the ESPN story.^[1]

Then, at the bottom of the article, we add the {{reflist}} template, which will display the actual reference as a footnote:

^ "Novak to retire after 12 seasons at Northern Illinois". Associated Press via ESPN. November 26, 2007. Retrieved February 25, 2011.
