June 2023[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Kingdom of Lithuania (1918). This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.sbaio 18:39, 6 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Flags of Karelia[edit]

Hello, thank you for being concerned about flag sources on Wikipedia! Here are the proofs: https://gerboved.ru/t/1561 (pdf page 40 and 52) Dictatorialkarelian (talk) 21:09, 25 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the reply, this seems interesting. BlinxTheKitty (talk) 23:56, 25 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Vermont Flag Question[edit]

Hey there -- I live in Vermont and have edited the Flag of Vermont page in the past. I noticed you added a version of the Flag of Vermont that was seen in the 1920s. I looked up the original image at the Library of Congress and it just seems to lack context and I was wondering if you had some? Like, clearly that is an image of some guys standing around near a flag with the Vermont Seal on it, but do we have any indication it was an official(ish) flag of the state? Just curious, love to learn about where I live. Thank you. Jessamyn (my talk page) 21:41, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I didn't really think it was official-ish either, hence why i simply said "1920s,", but it's common for earlier versions of state flags to not look much like their modern flags (take the flag of Maine for example; it looks nothing like the current flag that was adopted in law, and was also on a white sphere disc)
I collect vintage flags myself, and some older state flags I own that have seals or some type of central emblem tend to be placed on some type of circle-like disk or printed upon one.
I could ask some of my collector friends if they know any further information if needed. BlinxTheKitty (talk) 23:26, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, that's interesting. Perhaps there was a trend for white sphere disks during one moment in time. Appreciate your getting back to me. Jessamyn (my talk page) 16:07, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
