Hi - I saw you added the nickname "The Bottcher Express" to Brendan Bottcher's page ([1]). Do you know where that nickname came from? Tompw (talk) 20:52, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Tompw: The Bottcher Express nickname was used more as an insult originally. When he was younger, he would often play against curlers much older than him and beat them. The older curlers would expect an easy win against this young new guy they had never heard of. When the older curlers would lose to this apparent nobody, they would feel shocked like they were "hit by a train". Thus the nickname "Bottcher Express".

The earliest source on the internet would be from the Nexopia.com forums around 2006-2007. I was unable to find posts that go that far back though so they've likely been deleted. Brtlrt (talk) 01:40, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
