Re: Hurricane Dolly[edit]

Uhh, I'm not vandalizing anything. I'm listing correct data, as published in Hurricane Dolly Public Advisory 13b, issued by the National Hurricane Center, so please don't threaten me with being blocked.

If you don't believe me, check for yourself at http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/text/refresh/MIATCPAT4+shtml/231930.shtml Caeden O'Riordan (talk) 20:21, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Caeden1966[reply]

Re: Hurricane Dolly[edit]

Gentleman,

I enjoy debate as well as the next person, but Wikipedia is not the place to threaten anybody, deserving or not. After a cursory review of the public advisories, I would be inclined to believe that Caeden1966 is in the clear, as to posting updated data, with respect to Dolly's status.

Respectfully,

Mina, Nevada[edit]

No sources have been supplied for 3 months for the notability of speed being lower in a town, the use of radar, and police working daily. -- SEWilco (talk) 23:58, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Mina, NV[edit]

So, am I correct in understanding you'd rather NOT take the word of someone who used to live there, but yet instead wait for a citation? This is about Mina, a rural town in Nevada, 32 miles south of Hawthorne.By the way, Page 27 of the Nevada Driver's Handbook lists EXAMPLES of speed limits. The one you quoted, "45 mph.......Reduced speed areas going into towns" does not Italic textspecifically mention the speed limit within Mina., Caeden O'Riordan (talk) 06:40, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Chesley Sullenberger[edit]

Hi. Thanks for participating in the Chesley Sullenberger article. If you want to add updated information on the Facebook page Sullenberger's daughter started, then you have to provide a source that can be verified. Stating "Numbers taken directly from Sullenberger's Facebook page (as of 12 Mar 09) has this number at 628,692 members." does not allow one to do this, because it does not point a reader in the direction of the Facebook page in question. There are currently 122 Facebook pages for Sullenberger, and the material you added does not indicate which one is the one mentioned in the People article. Also, when providing a source, be sure to use the ref tags, as described in WP:Citing Sources. If you need any further help or have questions about editing, just let me know. Thanks. :-) Nightscream (talk) 03:59, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Chesley Sullenberger[edit]

Thank you for making that "clearer" however, thinly-disguised patronizing tones do not hold very much credibility with me. Had you taken the "proper" approach by sending me a private message instead of modifying my talk page with banter that questions my use of the "K.I.S.S" principle, I'd be more inclined to give some thought to your advice. Secondly, where's the proof that Sullenberger's daughter started the page? I see that nowhere in the Wikipedia article, nor on his Facebook page. Even with the quote from Sullenberger (via the family spokesman) one cannot reasonably come to that conclusion.Caeden O'Riordan (talk) 13:04, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
