A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Capstoneholdings/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. January 2021[edit]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Longhair\talk 02:22, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Employee of CapStone Holdings. I understand the restrictions. If I see opportunities for edit, I will participate.

Decline reason:

One request at a time. signed, Rosguill talk 20:00, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Please demonstrate your understanding of the restrictions by describing what edits you wish to make or what topics you might edit about. 331dot (talk) 08:43, 27 January 2021 (UTC) I wish to make edits regarding to topics that I am knowledgeable on. This could included sports, technology, marketing, local establishments.[reply]

Would you agree to not edit about Capstone Holdings, its personnel, or any other topics for which you have a conflict of interest? This wouldn't be permanent, but you will need to build up a good edit history first. 331dot (talk) 20:10, 28 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Can I make a page about someone I know? K Walton (talk) 18:41, 8 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You can make an article(not just a "page", which has a broader meaning) about any subject for which you have no conflict of interest. You might find it helpful to read this plain language explanation of what conflict of interest is. 331dot (talk) 18:42, 8 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. So I am an employee of CapStone Holdings and I simply want to write an article about the founder and chairman. How do I go about doing that properly? I changed my name and listed my COI. I'm still blocked from making an article. K Walton (talk) 01:44, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I changed my user name and listed my COI, but I am still blocked. Is there something else that I need to do K Walton (talk) 02:04, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You say above you want to write about your company's personnel; that will not be permitted at this time. To be unblocked you will need to agree to not edit about your company, its personnel, or anything for which you have a conflict of interest. That would not be permanent, but you will need to show with your edit history that you understand Wikipedia guidelines. I might suggest 6 months or 500 edits, whichever is longer- but I'm content to leave that to the next reviewer. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 12:50, 14 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I see and understand. Thank you for providing that explanation. I agree to not write about my company or its personnel, or anything which may be a conflict of interest. K Walton (talk) 11:07, 23 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You may make another request where you tell what you will edit about since you are agreeing to not edit about your company. 331dot (talk) 11:27, 23 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
