Data I'd like to see summarised in a list of articles to be checked:

  • Date of article creation
  • Date of most recent edit to the article
  • Result of copyvio check
  • Google search on page title
  • Name of article creator
  • Analysis of contributions of article creator (to detect SPAs and new editors)
  • Article size
  • Presence or absence of stub templates and/or article rating from talk page (if rating exists)
  • Number of external links
  • Use of reference tags
  • Number of edits made since creation
  • Crude analysis of rate (frequency) of editing and what sort of edits (reverts, minor, etc.)
  • Diff comparing original and current article
  • Amount of IP editing
  • Amount of editing by redlinked accounts (no user page)
  • Amount of editing by blocked accounts
  • Detect any page blankings that took place
  • Detect vandalism reverts made by anti-vandalbots
  • Detect vandalism reverts made by editors (examine edit summaries)
  • Report how many editors have the article watchlisted and how active those editors are
  • Report talk page activity and list wikiproject tags
  • Report number of incoming links from article space and list them
  • Report incoming links that are redirects
  • Report number of incoming links from other namespaces and list them
  • Detect AfDs if they exist ({{la}} and its variants are useful)
  • Detect additions of PROD or CSD tags in the article history
  • Report any activity in the logs (e.g. previous deletions, page protections, page patrolling)
  • Report any interwiki links
  • Report result of search on other wikis
  • Report date of page patrolling (or absence of such) and name of patrolling editor
  • Report the number and types of categories (differentiate between normal and templated categories)
  • Report the cleanup-type tags added and when added

That's 32 things listed so far. Any missing? How much of this is possible or already done by various tools? Carcharoth (talk) 13:45, 28 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
