A tag has been placed on User:Catz83, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of User:Catz83 and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 11:17, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your feedback request[edit]

I replied to your feedback request and hope my suggestions are helpful. Best, Pianotech (talk) 01:05, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Onfit Training College requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb (talk) 01:50, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Status and Advice[edit]

As reviewing administrator, I did not delete the article, because this is a school, offering a diploma, and they cannot be deleted via this speedy criterion. However, I doubt whether the College will be considered notable in the sense of being appropriate for a Wikipedia article; if it is , it will be on the technicality of offering the diploma: we normally consider all actual degree-granting institutions of higher education notable. However, I see from our article on Australian Qualifications Framework that the diploma ranks lower than an Associate's Degree, which is usually the lowest level we recognize as such--we do not normally consider vocational schools as necessarily notable, though they can be, if well-known and long-established. I advise you to look for additional references, that represent more than just Press handouts, because I or someone else are very likely to quickly nominate the article for a deletion discussion.
