Comment[edit]

I find the whole thing rather contrived and special-cased to support a certain POV, but what really sticks out is a confusion of the terms "expert" and "specialist". --Stephan Schulz (talk) 04:48, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't actually follow your reasoning here. Could you please expand on how this is "contrived and special-cased to support a certain POV?" What would you like to see changed to address that concern? --209.172.22.236 (talk) 20:30, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hostility[edit]

  • "If you find yourself at the center of a swarm, stay calm and stick to the civility policies."

I suggest "maelstrom" in lieu of "swarm."

Maelstrom (literally "mill storm") comes from an insightful and instructive Nordic legend and morality story.

Have you missed a sign?[edit]

Would the fact that several of the regular editors in a given topic area have had their editing practices publicly criticized as being one-sided in multiple national and international media outlets and by multiple sources actually count as a sign that you might be dealing with activists? Something to consider anyway. --209.172.22.236 (talk) 20:27, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That is definitely a sign, but it doesn't always happen. Cla68 (talk) 12:09, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

might be relevant. Collect (talk) 12:05, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, I added a link to it in the essay. Cla68 (talk) 12:09, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
