Welcome!

Hello, Dylara, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like Victor Diamond Mine Project, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

References[edit]

Hello, and once again welcome to Wikipedia! You can add references to articles with the <ref>...</ref> in-line tag. Here you can find lots of more information on citing. For citing web, book, magzine, newspaper etc. sources you can find the little icon above the article editing box that says "{{CITE}}" very useful. Just remember to add the header "References" followed by the template {{ref-list}} in the end of your article so that your references will show up.

If writing articles with these "bare" tools feels cumbersome, you can enable the wikED extension from the Gadgets tab of your preferences. For more information on writing Wikimarkup, check out the cheatsheet and our extensive help section. Feel free to ask for help at any time by writing on my talk page any time. --hydrox (talk) 03:57, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to refine an article before publishing it, you can do so under your own "namespace" by creating the article first for example under the name User:Dylara/Example. Then when you are done, you can copy (Ctrl+C - Ctrl+V) the article text to the main namespace under the name you want it to appear.
Normally, when you publish articles in the main namespace they are usually immediately "patrolled" by volunteers. If the article appears as if it is copied directly from advertising materials or there is some other obvious problem with it, it can be immediately nominated for deletion, which was the case with this article, but it was just as rapidly delisted because reading a few rows deeper to the article revealed a more balanced review. I wish you luck with your project work, and will now leave you to work on the article. I will also try to check back in a few days to see your progress. :)
Ps. I left some comments on publshing the references in the article source code. You can remove them when you are done. Thank you for your contributions! --hydrox (talk) 04:23, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
One more thing: please feel free to delist any of the "article improvements" points from the first row's template as soon as they are resolved. I will not interfere with this now, because it could cause an edit conflict and extra burden for you. Good luck, once again, and I hope you will find contributing to Wikipedia interesting also "off-duty" from your school projects. :) --hydrox (talk) 04:31, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
