A world of light and darkness, a crossroad between other worlds, this place is a mix of the magic of Fae as well as the production of human technology. Originally Valyntia was inhabited by two predominant races, The Fae and Dragonkind. But the Unseelie fae created a portal in which they could bring others to their world to manipulate. They came across a world with primitive creatures, Humans. Seeking to use them as slave labor, the Unseelie brought them to Valyntia to use as servants and chattel.
As the Seelie discovered the abuse of these humans, they sought to protect and help them grow. The quick wit and resourcefulness of the humans helped them not stay subjugated for long. Within a thousand years, they had won their freedom, not through force of arms, but by the abilities to create with steel and use their own non-magical heritage to defeat their oppressors.
During the next thousand years, the races kept to themselves except for minor skirmishes here and there. They all fought to keep control and make each kingdom thrive. The Seelie helped the humans create a hierarchy of sorts before going back to their own lands. The humans evolved and created technology, almost encroaching upon the Fae world. Thus with the expansion of human inventions, the Fae once more looked upon the Humans as something to be watched, while the dragons as always, kept creating mischief between all of the races.
This is not a world for the feint of heart. Cruel battles and struggles happen within. If you dare to walk into shadow and accept your fate, enter Valyntia. The dragons await you.
