Request reason:

Hi - I'm a graduating Harvard Law student who joined the wikipedia community not only to create a much needed page on the Harvard Law School Board of Student Advisers, but to also provide any needed updates to Harvard Law School related content. I initially created the username in an effort to remain anonymous, but also as an homage to my former status as a BSA. But I completely understand how and why my username, in addition to the article I just created, suggests it was created as "self-promotion" or spam. For this, I apologize. I am requesting the opportunity to contribute to the Wikipedia community and again apologize for the confusion.

Someone else will review this, but I would note you do not have to use your real name as your username or part of it, you may use whatever you wish as long as it is not the name of an organization and indicates this account is used by an individual. Your draft had no independent reliable sources; Wikipedia is only interested in what independent reliable sources with in depth coverage state about article subjects.(no press releases, routine announcements, interviews or other primary sources) Please review the notability guidelines for organizations written at WP:ORG. 331dot (talk) 17:44, 6 February 2019 (UTC)

From kjhowell0387: Completely understand! Thanks for the feedback. If you'd be so kind as to change my username, that'd be awesome. As for the sources, I'll continue building on the draft using independent outlets. Again, many apologies for the unnecessary confusion.
