Is User:JJMC89 bot/Wikidata external link template parameter removal still active?[edit]

Is User:JJMC89 bot/Wikidata external link template parameter removal still active? Just found Category:Templates whose data is currently being migrated to Wikidata and noticed it had entries from 2016 and 2022 there. Gonnym (talk) 19:27, 5 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Gonnym: I can still run it if someone lists a request. No has made one since 2016 though. The 2016 ones should all be on the request page as not done since there was nothing to remove. The ones from 2022 were never requested. — JJMC89 20:03, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I was just wondering as I stumbled on the requests on the talk pages (like Template talk:National Pipe Organ Register#National Pipe Organ Register) should these usages of {{Wikidata property migration}} be removed? Gonnym (talk) 21:27, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ideally, yes. You'll see I removed the 2016 ones previously. — JJMC89 21:31, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The bot and old CfDs[edit]

Hi JJMC89. I saw the bot delete a category based on a 2011 CfD. Is that desirable? Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 03:52, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Firefangledfeathers: I prefer admins to delete the category themselves for G4 so that that the deletion log notes G4, which is what Extraordinary Writ did. Using the bot to empty the category, as Pppery did, isn't an issue. — JJMC89 05:08, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the explanation! Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 05:11, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Cornish people of Irish descent[edit]

Hi, your bot just deleted Category:Cornish people of Irish descent, foillowing Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2024 June 6#Category:Cornish people of Irish descent. The CfD was proposed by a now-blocked sock, Aldij (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log). DuncanHill (talk) 18:45, 15 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please see the notice at the top of the page about who to contact. HouseBlaster or Fayenatic london in this case. — JJMC89 18:14, 16 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@DuncanHill: the cloud over the nominator does not necessarily undermine the validity of the nomination. It appeared to be a correct outcome as evidenced by the comment at the CFD by Marcocapelle. The article Irish people in Great Britain (added by RyTellyFan91 [1]) does not have a section about Irish people in Cornwall.
However, the original member added by the category creator Sean an Scuab was Chris Morris (footballer). Aldij did not disclose that he had removed that page from the category a few days before nominating it. As PetScan finds other pages that can justifiably be added (Thomas Pitt of Boconnoc, Jon Cruddas) I am therefore restoring the category.
Rory McGrath and Bob Fitzsimmons could also be added if their categorisation as Irish descent is justified. – Fayenatic London 21:21, 16 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Fayanetic London: Thank you.
JJMC89, your bot has just deleted it immediately after Fayenatic undeleted it. I suppose you are going to tell me to take THAT up with someone else too. DuncanHill (talk) 21:31, 16 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The bot was already processing WP:CFD/W when the category was undeleted, where the instructions had already been loaded ~10 minutes prior but had not yet finished executing, so it re-executed the instruction, deleting the category again. — JJMC89 05:56, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
