Moolam Thirunal Rama Varma[edit]

Hi, I have came across the edits you have done on the page and is undoing it as it doesn't adhere to Wikipedia Biographies of Living Persons Policy. I have also noticed that you have removed all other references and changed the titles as well name of the person in question. All those info present there were added along with edits & it should not be removed. You have also created a template called "Rajamma Thampuratti and Kochamma Thampuran witnessed their marital problems and so did many staff members from Govt Womens College, Trivandrum. Mrs Rema Varma was a student there even after the marriage, type in the box below. When you are done, preview the page to check for errors and then save it." You also have added some potentially libellous edits, that too without any reliable published sources. This is completely against the policy of Wikipedia. If you did not made these edits, then please contact an administrator for help. Thank You. --India142 (talk) 06:14, 14 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Verifiability[edit]

Wikipedia's content is determined by previously published information rather than by the personal beliefs or experiences of its editors. Even if you're sure something is true, it must be verifiable before you can add it. The policy says that all material challenged or likely to be challenged, and all quotations, needs a reliable source.

Public figures[edit]

In the case of public figures, there will be a multitude of reliable published sources, and BLPs should simply document what these sources say. If an allegation or incident is noteworthy, relevant, and well documented, it belongs in the article – even if it is negative and the subject dislikes all mention of it. If you cannot find multiple reliable third-party sources documenting the allegation or incident, leave it out.

  • Example: "John Doe had a messy divorce from Jane Doe." Is this important to the article, and was it published by third-party reliable sources? If not, leave it out, or stick to the facts: "John Doe and Jane Doe were divorced."
  • Example: A politician is alleged to have had an affair. He or she denies it, but multiple major newspapers publish the allegations, and there is a public scandal. The allegation belongs in the biography, citing those sources. However, it should only state that the politician was alleged to have had the affair, not that he or she actually did. If the subject has denied such allegations, that should also be reported.
