Impression[edit]

Having just completed the survey, its very poorly written, seams totally irrelevant and written by someone who has spent no time researching Wikipedia community beforehand, something I wouldnt have expected from a University nor someone from the Wikimedia Foundation's Education Program. I have sent an email about this to the group. Gnangarra 23:50, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Restored, Jobar the way of Wikipedia is to discuss issues and concerns the purpose of talk pages are to discuss issues about improving it. Removing my comments because I said the interview was irrelevant and ignorant doesnt fix the problem. Gnangarra 01:40, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I am going to post my email response to you here, so that others can see my comments. I will remove if requested:
Hi GN,
Thank you for your quick response, and I sincerely appreciate your feedback. Let me respond first by saying that these are indeed the questions that were designed by our very experienced social media research lab team. Please understand that these are exploratory questions ... and aim to understand perceptions related to controversial issues like the ones you mentioned. Your passionate responses to these questions, and the fact that you've emailed me to (clipped material that could damage study) with our mention of these ideas (and posted a message to our talk page) is fascinating to us. We want to learn more!
We are indeed new to this and want to learn from you. Teach us why (clipped material that could damage study), TELL US why (clipped). Tell us why (clipped) ... again, we want to understand and explore your perceptions. You are right that we don't understand WP fully or how adminship works, this is the main reason for our exploration. (rest clipped) --Jaobar (talk) 01:48, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
With any research there should be at least an understanding of the basic concept what your reserching the questions indicated that even basic research on being an admin was never done. If this basic research had occurred then the people writing the questions would have at least read Wikipedia:Requests for adminship, Wikipedia:Administrators#Expectations_of_adminship and associated pages, then the questions would never have made prepositions that they did and in one case would never have been asked.
