Photos for Arlene Anderson Skutch

I see on Jan 31 something was "moved"........ I have granted permission to use the photos, but still do not see them on the site. I'm new at Wikipedia, so sorry I don't understand what's going on.

Here is the history of the exchanges I've had. Thank you for your kind attention......

Deleted photos after granting permission Ticket #2018121710006255[edit] Permission was sent and received (see acknowledgment below and reference number) on December 17th.......... photos were deleted as of Dec 27th 2018. I hope that they will be restored. How do I proceed from here? Copy of permission letter was resent to permissions-commons@wikipedia.org Thank you.

Please patiently wait until an OTRS agent handles the ticket. If an OTRS agent handles a valid permission, they will take care of undeletion. Jcb (talk) 00:47, 28 December 2018 (UTC)

@Kundrup: All I did yesterday was change the placement of the photo titled Arlene_Headshot.jpg that was already in the article. From your message above, it sounds like you had some other photos that you are waiting on as well? Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the process for granting permission for use of photos, so I am not able to provide any assistance. Sorry, and good luck! Hello @Jmertel23: I have no external relationship with the people, places or things I have written about in the page Barks Babes & Bros. I volunteer for the charity that hosts that fundraiser, but I am not involved in it personally and since it is a volunteer-based charity there is no question of compensation. I understand the guidelines of a conflict of interest (COI). The edits I made were to make the article conform to Wikipedia's standards, which it previously did not, as it was written rather poorly. I agree that it is promotional, and lacking in reliable, independent sources, which is why I made the edits. If you compare the revisions you will notice that I removed the promotional copy. Thank you for your feedback, however. ClintonCimring (talk) 19:02, 01 February 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Dylan John Riley

Hello Jmertel23. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Dylan John Riley, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Being professor at a notable university or college indicates importance/significance (WP:CCSI#ACADEMIC). Thank you. SoWhy 07:31, 8 February 2019 (UTC)

@SoWhy: Thank you for the feedback (on this and the previous one). I guess I was getting a little to quick with the CSD submissions - I'll definitely be more stringent in the future. Thank you! Jmertel23 (talk) 13:33, 8 February 2019 (UTC)

Wish

Hello. Help improve for article Maureen Wroblewitz. Thanks you. Arina56 (talk) 12:52, 10 February 2019 (UTC)

Why do you ask? Is there something specific you need? I don't believe that there is anything I can do to help. Jmertel23 (talk) 12:58, 10 February 2019 (UTC)

Death Be Not Proud

Hello. You added an unreferenced tag to Death Be Not Proud (book). I am hoping you could point out what content on the page needs referencing. The synopsis section is from the book itself. I do not believe that this synopsis content needs referencing, but please let me know if it does, and if so how to go about doing so (page numbers?). Other than the synopsis, the only other content on the page is the movie reference. If you added the tag because of the movie reference, could we just put a "citation needed" tag on the Adaptations section? Please feel free to discuss this on the talk page for Death Be Not Proud (book). Cheers! Doctormatt (talk) 23:40, 13 February 2019 (UTC)

@Doctormatt: Thanks for reaching out! I do think it would be useful to find a reference for the movie other than IMDb (which tends to be considered unreliable). I think what would be most useful, and would also help in showing that the book meets the notability guidelines, would be if there were some third-party sources, such as reviews of the book. Hope that helps to clarify my thinking when I added the tag! Jmertel23 (talk) 23:22, 14 February 2019 (UTC)
(talk page watcher) Hello Jmertel23 and Doctormatt. I took the liberty of adding Turner Classic Movies as a ref for the TV film to the article. I agree that the article needs more sourcing to meet NBOOK. Here is a link to a google search for reviews of the book to get you going D. Best regards to you both. Thanks MarnetteD! Jmertel23 (talk) 23:37, 14 February 2019 (UTC)
You are welcome J. I meant to post this yesterday and wound up getting diverted by other editing - a thing that can happen around here as well you know :-) Have a great weekends. MarnetteD|Talk 16:11, 15 February 2019 (UTC)
I added a reception section with one quote from Gunther's obituary in the NY Times. Cheers! Doctormatt (talk) 07:43, 16 February 2019 (UTC)
I added several more review excerpts and references. Please let me know if you think the unreferenced tag is still needed, and, it so, what else I can do to improve the article. Thanks. Doctormatt (talk) 22:18, 16 February 2019 (UTC)
Looks great! I've removed the tag. Thanks so much! Jmertel23 (talk) 13:51, 17 February 2019 (UTC)
Good work Doctormatt. MarnetteD|Talk 14:30, 17 February 2019 (UTC)
Thanks Jmertel23 and MarnetteD! Cheers! Doctormatt (talk) 18:14, 17 February 2019 (UTC)

Wikidata short descriptions

Unfortunately, many of the Wikidata short descriptions are poor – at least the English ones, those in other languages are often better. Spider taxa are better described as "Species of spider", "Genus of spider", etc. rather than "Species of arachnid", "Genus of arachnid", etc. The word "spider" is much more helpful to our readers than "arachnid". @Peter coxhead: I can certainly be more specific! Thanks for the feedback! Jmertel23 (talk) 11:40, 22 February 2019 (UTC)
