I'm an instructor at UNC-Chapel Hill, and the students in my English course are working on creating a Wikipedia page for the Icelandic movie Utlaginn. The text currently up there is a sort of stop-gap initial draft, which they will revise and edit for content, syntax, and citation over the next two weeks.
I would like to change the page title, since there should be a diacritical mark in the title of the movie. It should be Útlaginn. I read the instructions for moving/renaming a page, but they reference clicking on a "Move" tab on the quickbar. I've made sure that my page skin is the right one for displaying a quickbar, but I don't see the "Move" tab. Is there something I'm doing wrong? How can I rename the page so that it has the proper accent?
Thanks for the help!
- Some issues that may be causing problems:
- Be sure that you're logged in
- The button won't appear on certain skins (nostalgia, or other skins if the quickbar is turned off under your preferences).
- It's possible that you don't have enough edits to "qualify" to make a move. However, I don't think there is a prerequisite number of edits. My skin shows the move button, so if you'd like me to move it I will. But perhaps you'd like your students to try it themselves. Hoof Hearted 15:50, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, someone just took care of it for you. Hoof Hearted 15:51, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, your account has to be at least four days old before you can use the move tool. I've done the move for you and the page is now at Útlaginn (The Outlaw). Cheers, --KFP (talk | contribs) 15:52, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
