Re: J.R. Castillo and Unwound[edit]

Re message: The article was deleted because you did not make any claim of music notability for the band. Wikipedia convention is to not let an article that does not claim notability to remain until it's notability is added. Looking at the deleted article, it appears that you copied the table and article structure from another article (perhaps LeAnn Rimes?). If you wish to redo the article, I recommend building the article as a user subpage and then moving it to mainspace once you are done. -- Gogo Dodo 07:58, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re your message: If you start the article on a user subpage, I will copy the deleted content. However, it may be easier and faster for you to just recopy the table headers from the LeAnn Rimes article. Also, my agreeing to copy the deleted content should not be seen as an endorsement that the article will be allowed to remain on Wikipedia when you finish it and move it to the mainspace. I think that the band's notability is still in question. I recommend that you read over the music notability guidelines before you continue. Clearly sourcing the band's claim to notability would help considerably. Even if you do source your claim to notability, another editor may question put the article up for deletion. While I did the actual delete of the original article, it was another editor that tagged the article for deletion. -- Gogo Dodo 06:13, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Re your message: I copied the content of the deleted article to User:Lancemurphy/J.R. Castillo and Unwound. I also fixed the link on your user page to the correct page [1]. When you are done expanding the article, I would recommend that you cut and paste the userspace version back into the mainspace article J.R. Castillo and Unwound. You could also do a move, but then the entire edit history will go with it so people will be able to see your interim edits. If you do the copy and paste, you can request that your userspace copy be deleted by adding {{db-userreq}} to the top of the article and an admin will delete the page for you.
If you have any more questions or need more help, please feel free to ask. However, can I ask one favor if you contact me? The majority of the time, new comments to Talk pages are added to the bottom of the page. You have been adding your comments to the top of my Talk page. I've been shifting your comments to the bottom into your own section here. If you have questions (of which, I would be happy to help with), can you add it to the bottom or the subsection with our discussion? Thanks. =) -- Gogo Dodo 01:43, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Gregory-Portland High, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. 172.161.143.32 17:25, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Lancemurphy. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:JRCastillo-Diablo.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Lancemurphy/J.R. Castillo and Unwound. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 05:19, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:GPHS-Wildcat-Logo.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:GPHS-Wildcat-Logo.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 17:26, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
