Proponents of federal reserve system[edit]

Hello--I appreciate your trying to deal with an awkward point in Federal Reserve System, but your recent edit has its own awkward point. It's note clear (to me) that economists who point out those two weaknesses in the early national banking system are "proponents" of the federal reserve system. Is Flaherty (the ref for that) clearly a proponent? Anyway, yes, it's awkward. But I don't want a point of analytical disagreement to be mistakenly translated into a point of policy disagreement. Good point. The controversy needs to be apparent but I don't want to remove the Flaherty reference because it adds value. Suggestions?
I wish :(. Sorry. "Many economists" is weasel-wordy, but I don't have any better suggestions. Cretog8 (talk) 00:52, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
