Request for Collaboration.[edit]

Hello,

Thanks for tagging the Mahou (Beer) entry for wikification. There is a newer tag which is rather similar in format to the {{cleanup}} tag you used. Considering that you do a fair amount of tagging, could you please use the {{wikify-date|April 2006}} tag in place of the {{wikify}} tag in the future? There is an effort underway to make it easier to sort through articles that may require wikification, and using the suggested tag would be very helpful.

Your assistance with this effort will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers, Folajimi 12:56, 4 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cadbury Schweppes[edit]

First, I planned to thank everyone who voted on my RfA when it was completed. However as I am posting here already, let me thank you for your support.

Regarding the above article; Sorry, due to the many warnings contained within the copyvio template I assumed that as soon it was added it was prohibited to edit the page. As such I thought the most constructive thing I could do was place the previous non-copyvio version on the temp page for an admin to replace after deletion. "quote chicken" speedy deletion[edit]

The post is a vanity article.

A coined phrase is not coined if it requires Wikipedia to make it famous.

Thanks for categorising and tagging it as a stub. I forgot to do that. —vedant (talkcontribs) 12:08, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

TheMadTime[edit]

Dude, thanks for posting me that 'wiki-instruction' thing, or whatever it's called. I've often wondered how people find out how do things. I'm guessing that my 'Davie Dodds' article brought my amaturish first attempt at an article to your notice, don't worry dude, I wasn't gonna leave it like that. I'm just trying to work out how to put a picture onto a page by looking at other wiki 'codes' just now. Thanks again dude, I'm gonna do a wee bit of reading now, and I'll have it looking like a proper article in no time. --TheMadTim 10:38, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi[edit]

Thanks for putting the stubb - I am new to wikipedia - not quite have the hang of it.

Camp Billy Joe references[edit]

I noticed you put a "no references" tag on the Camp Billy Joe page. I just added some more, but I'm guessing that you must have tagged it because I didn't follow the reference listing policy. Could you please check it again and tell me what it needs? Thank you for your help. Jecowa 07:44, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nice job on the Camp Billy Joe article! Thank you for your contributions and your assistance with references. Jecowa 08:04, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oops, I cut and pasted instead of requesting a move[edit]

I cut and pasted HILDA into Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia Survey instead of requesting a move. Need to delete HILDA, and you might want to review the templates. Cheers Clappingsimon 10:11, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

re: avoid the usage of {{stub}}[edit]

I have no intrest in stub sorting. If I come across an article that appears to be a stub, but isn't tagged as such, I will tag it. I will attempt to use the more specsific tags where possible. But I don't know most of the stub tag types and looking it up every time is more trouble than it is worth. 193.122.31.188 10:54, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As you have recently contributed to the article on Ürün, I wanted to inform you that this article has been tagged for speedy deletion. This has been done because the article seems to be a biographical account of a person, group of people, or band, but it does not indicate how or why the topic is notable. If you can indicate why Ürün is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on the article's talk page. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert the topic's notability, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. Any admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Before you choose to contest the article's deletion, however, please read over our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, and you might also want to read our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. AmiDaniel (Talk) 08:27, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Woa, sorry about that. I just fixed a minor bug and was so eager to test it that I got a little ahead of myself. Not really testing, but nonetheless a careless move on my behalf. I apologize! AmiDaniel (Talk) 08:49, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re; Qi Deyan page[edit]

Hi Mijoshi - AlGrant here.

I just posted a page on Qi Deyan and it was blocked due to a link to an external website. I hold copyright in both the website and the Wikipedia post.

A quick question - if I upload images of Qi Deyan's paintings, what is the copyright status?

Thanks

The Sporting Life[edit]

I was looking for an article on the Sporting Life (a British newspaper from 1859 to 1998). I could only find a Canadian retailer and an album by Diamanda Galás. I have added the Sporting Life to the list of defunct British newspapers, and I was thinking of renaming (moving) the two existing pages, and at least creating a stub for the paper - which is possibly the origin of the name used for the existing pages, and maybe even of that used for the two pages about 'This Sporting Life'.

But it seemed a bit tricky for a beginner. I'm not even sure whether to include the 'The'. The paper's owners refer to it with an uncapitalized 'the' in the text of their history page.

The guidelines suggest that should mean leaving the 'The' out of the title, but there seems to be some inconsistency.

Anyway, maybe you could advise on the best way to go about it.

Thanks,

Grant 11:59, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. That's what I call service! I've already redirected the link from the defunct papers list to bypass the disambiguation.

Judaic Studies looks better now.[edit]

Hi, I think that I cleaned up the article that you commented on. Does it look better?

Hi Mijoshi - I'm new at this. I guess that you can tell that. I tried to clean up the Judaic Studies page. Does it look better to you?

Thanks[edit]

Hi Mil, Thanks for the welcome message.

Edit: I really appreciate your nice way in explaining things. That was great.

And I will follow your suggestion.

thank you very much for your kind welcome message :¬) Ceri the Duck 18:08, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Where does that come from?[edit]

Why are you placing that ridiculous tag {{unreferenced}}? Are you going to pollute hundreds of thousands of articles with it? If you want a specific piece of information in an article referenced then say so. Or, even better, look it up yourself. But such a general tag is useless. --JohJak2 11:12, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stoyko Stoykov[edit]

Hi, Mijoshi! Earlier this month you tagged the Stoyko Stoykov page. I tried to clean it up, added citations and links, so I guess now it conforms to the wiki standards. Do you mind clearing the tags you entered (except the stub perhaps)? Or would you suggest other improvements?

Thank you for your advice.

Article on UIET[edit]

Hey Bro , I need to know the article on UIET is upto the mark by Wikipedia standards. If it is not then please give me some tips with which I can bring it up to that level. Also can you help me a little with writing my own user page?

Bro I need your advice on my edits on Khatri article[edit]

I made some edits to the khatri article twice but they were reverted both times by Moderator3000. One was correcting a link to surname called Seth. The other was about Walias (which I linked) also being also called Ahluwalias.

Both these modifications are valid but they are being reverted both the times. I don't know if Moderator3000 is an official moderator of Wikipedia or is just doing what he seems fit.

Incorrect picture[edit]

Your picture http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Phases_of_the_Moon.png is incorrect. You've shown the path of the Earth as not being a circle centred on the Sun, because it's influenced by the Moon's gravity. But you've shown the effect the wrong way round! The way to fix it is to remember that the barycentre of the Earth-Moon system is a circle centred on the Sun. Occultations 17:26, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
